WHAT TO DO HERE...

Each week you must reply to the blog for the week. It will be titled Week One, Week Two, and so on. At the end of the week(Sunday evening), I'll record who responded, so you won't be able to go back and make up your responses from previous weeks. Remember, the point is to begin to write as a habit...The best way to exercise this new habit is to overdo it. Don't just respond. Instead, respond, then wait, then respond to someone's response. Turn it into a dialogue. This is non-graded writing. But it still matters. Do too much. Be obnoxiously verbose!

Why do you think that flowers are such a common gift of affection?

    well certain colors of flowers have meaning and there easy to get and fairly priced and there n ice to look at. and honestly i think it was something that one guy started and all the others saw that his girl liked it and thought it was a good idea and its just been an on going tradition.

    thats a thing i always wondered too.. what i know is that they are good to look at and a great decoration and also has a sweet scent.. the color or type of flower you get can also represent a certain feeling towards another person

    It's a default gift, something that would go well with a card or balloon. People used to go to great lengths arranging flowers that would best convey their feelings. But now it's mainly a commercial product.

    That being said, flower arrangement is an art form of it's own, the closest thing to a natural color you can get. Well, if you don't count the hybrids.

    I think having a garden of flowers that u are able to keep alive is great. But i would rather get something other than flowers, they die soon after they are given, possibly they can last a week but more than likely no longer than that so its kind of a waste of money,

    Flowers are always a good gift to give with the person you feel affection. I really don’t like flowers that much because they don’t last long; I prefer something that last forever.yet!

    i think that flowers make a person feel good and also makes them feel happy because someone cares for them. at the same time it is better to get something that are not flowers because they will only last for a little time.

    I think flowers are a common gift of affection because they are beautiful to look at they smell good and are traditional in the sense that they have been around for a long time.

    I think flowers are the common gift beacuse they have so much beauty and they smell good. The color's of the flowers represent something. Flowers makes a person feel loved and care for. In people see that flowers are what makes them feel good.

    I think flowers are common because there are alot of them. They are easy to buy. They are symbol of love like red roses and have more value than a expensive thing. They can show love or being thoughtful.

    I believe that flowers are a common gift, because very rarely can someone hate flowers or already have that certain bouquet. I agree that flowers are easy to buy, and require no personalization in picking them. Also the meanings of the different kinds of flowers might have something to do with it.

    to me flowers are more thoughtful and sweet. they are non materialistic which in my opinion is a lot better than something that is materialistic. for example my favorite is red roses. they smell good they look nice, they are the color red which is very romantic and seductive and they are just lovely.

    I just like to look at them. If i get flowers for someone it's because it's traditional. I remember when i gave a girl flowers and she gave out the roses to people. Since then i said heck! Just glad my fiance doesn't ask for flowers because they just die too quick. I like looking at them, smelling them, and planting them. Other than that, it's like whatever.
