WHAT TO DO HERE...
Each week you must reply to the blog for the week. It will be titled Week One, Week Two, and so on. At the end of the week(Sunday evening), I'll record who responded, so you won't be able to go back and make up your responses from previous weeks. Remember, the point is to begin to write as a habit...The best way to exercise this new habit is to overdo it. Don't just respond. Instead, respond, then wait, then respond to someone's response. Turn it into a dialogue. This is non-graded writing. But it still matters. Do too much. Be obnoxiously verbose!

There are only seven actual wonders of the world. Last Saturday I found the
ReplyDeleteeighth secretly hidden in the sleepy little town of Bakersfield, CA. When one thinks of
Bakersfield, they do not associate the town with excellent dining. But soon people will
change their minds. I had the pleasure to dine at BJ’s Brewery. Personally,
I did not walk in expecting to be blown away. Only after the delight of my dining
experience at BJ’s, did I walk away with an appreciation of the dinning that Bakersfield
has to offer.
This small town has some big taste. BJ’s has a variety that could please even the pickests of eaters. From their deep dish Chicago style pizzas to their most delicate pastas you have the atmosphere that just about anyone could enjoy. The place almost has a sports bar feel with all the 64inch tv and projecter screens around the place but what goes better with one of there many house brewed beers than your favorite game. You have several choices to choose from from there basic full bodied brew to some of their more delicate fruit brewed ale’s or their home made rootbeer. Any of these paired with one of their mouth watering pizzas and you are sure to be bleased.
BJ’s is known for there pizzas. They offer any type of pizza you can imagine and they all are made to perfection each time. The ingredients that are used are of the best, every bite gives you a rich and fulfilling satisfaction. The pizzas are so good that you would actually think a Chicago chef was in the back making them. You can put together there famous pizza and your choice of any of drink from the brewer and you will leave BJ’s restaurant in Bakersfield, Ca. a happy person.
Next time you are taking a long road trip and you so happen drive through Bakersfield make sure to stop at BJ’s. Bakersfield is not just a sleepy old town anymore you can visit BJ’s and get some of there mouth watering pizza and brewer. You can also come in and watch sports while you enjoy your quality food and great service. You will not regret stopping in this old sleepy town because BJ’s Brewery is something that everyone should experience.
If you are looking for Mediterranean food, Flame and Skewers if one of the better restaurants you can find in Los Angeles. Originally from Bakersfield, California, Flame and Skewers had since broadened it’s locations to spread along California’s coastline, and even branch out towards the east. The meat is cooked on a spit and rotated vertically and is do delicious, supplies are gone by dinnertime. It’s a great place to go to during your lunch break, or when you have a craving for hummus.
ReplyDeleteHow the meat is cooked, sounds very refreshing and sounds like a good place to go if you are going out to eat for dinner. Just the scenery alone can make you linger in to this very place because it is so colorful. The service must be great, if supplies are running out. Now, I have not had Mediterranean food, but this restaurant sounds like an intriguing place to go and get a delicious, mouth-watering bite to eat.
Now, I know by now your mouth is watering, you probably don’t want to finish reading this review but guess what I have more amazing things to talk about. Yes, this place has good service, and is colorful. But if you ask somebody have they ever been to this restaurant?? They say yes, what will be the next question you ask them?? I will bet you will ask how there food. Am I’m right?? And I’m sure there respond will be it’s to die for. Now, when people say that, I take it as if I would walk to the end of the earth for this food.
I will recommend this restaurant to any and everybody. By me say that I’m telling you that this restaurant is not something to play with. In a good way. If you don’t like the service, how colorful it is, or even the food, I will personally give you your money back. I’m just playing you will defiantly fall in love with Flame and Skewers. You will be hooked to it like a fish on a fishing rod. If I was a food critic I will give Flame and Skewers a A++++++.
On the slopes of the mountains of Beirut Lebanon you will find Rafeek Hariris little hut. In that little hut you will find a whole lot of taste. They serve some of the best shawerma meats you could find in the whole Middle East. Whether you are skiing the slopes or just want to come up for a sandwich you will surely not be disappointed with there excellent service hospitality and delicious shawerma meats. They’re open from 10 am to 12am mon-fri and 9 am to 2 am Saturday and Sunday. From the moment you step through the door you can feel the love from all the employees, “They treated us just like family.” – said one of there new customers, Dalia. If you are a meat lover, you definitely do not want to miss out.
ReplyDeleteApart from their warming welcome their service is excellent. They cater to you as if you were someone famous. Although not all may enjoy meat that much, their great service leaves you wanting more. The food itself if quite wonderful, always cooked to perfection. When served to the customer it is right at its best, warm temperature. Exciting colors and side dishes that anyone can enjoy, with great variety of options to make your own fascinating plate that makes you you and satisfies your every need.
The restaurant features different rooms with different themes. Every thing is set to be in a different location other than the one on the slopes. So there is a beach room, a western room, a galaxy room, and an underwater room. Each room fits a total of 75 people so if many people prefer to be in the atmosphere of a certain room then they can start with that room. Every 10 minutes the settin of the room changes due to the animated walls that this restaurant is equipped with. The walls slowly transition you to a different setting so that you experience every one of the themes in the restaurant. The tables are made from fine oak and are stained a chocolate color and are covered with silver cloths. The seats in the chairs are so comfortable you can go to sleep in them.
The way the food turns out is totally up to you and your standards because rafeek hariris little hut lets you choose what you want on your food and how you want it prepared. The selection of ingredients and seasons you can add makes the meals and entrees here at rafeek hariris little hut infinite. Many people come from all over the world to dine here at the restaurant so we they try to find different waiters who speak different languages from all around the world to accompany you while you eat. The waiters dressed differently in each room in the galaxy room the waiters wore silver and black star trek gear. The beach room consisted of waiters in cargo shorts sandals or canvas shoes and short sleeve button-ups. The western room had waiters in chaps cowboy boots with spurs and bandanas around their necks.
Overall my experience here at rafeek hariris little hut was great and this has became my favorite restaurant due to the fact that it delivers anything I wish to have and in any setting I wish.
In Indio California there is a small restaurant that you would not expect to be there. From the outside it looks like a little hole in the wall run down place but this was the beginning of a legend. Woolf Gang Puck
ReplyDeleteWith Woolf Gang Puck being the main chef the food is of excellent quality and fresh. Everything on the menu is sautéed and cooked to perfection. It is a clean atmosphere and is an experience to remember. This restaurant has good customer service and the hosts and hostesses are genuine in making sure your experience is a memorable one. The lighting and temperature is neutral and can accommodate everyone. The music sets a relaxing mood.
For most restaurants, the background music that is played during your dining
experience is either elevator music or Michael Bolton. That is not the case at the Woolf
Gang Puck. Unlike the majority of restaurants, Woolf Gang Puck provides a venue for
live music. Artists of every kind of genre are allowed to play and there is even karaoke
on Friday nights. The Thursday that I visited Woolf Gang Puck, I had the pleasure to
enjoy a cover band that was actually very good for being a cover band. English Class
is Boring played everything from Bob Dylan, to Tom Petty, to John Frusciante. Besides
the food, the music alone is reason enough to check out Woolf Gang Puck.
Overall, the experience of ding at Woolf Gang Puck was outstanding. The food
was beyond words. The music set the perfect tone for the atmosphere. The
service was the best I have ever received in my life. While the prices do run a
little on the higher side, it is definitely worth it. Woolf Gang Puck is an
experience that you or your mouth do not want to miss.
Chipotle Mexican Grill, Located in Hawaii on the top black sand beach in the world, The Punaluu Beach which was created by lava from volcano’s flowing into the ocean and then cooling. Seeing as this restaurant is outdoors you will never feel the need to step outside for fresh air. The scenery is to die for you have the view of the deep blue sea to you right and the rain forest to your left. Once you step into this 5 star restaurant you will be provided with exceptional service and high quality food. The employees that work there had been trained for a matter of months in order to be capable of catering to each of your individual needs and make you feel as though you are apart of their family. .
ReplyDeleteBy the food being so good at Chipotle Mexican Grill, you would think that the prices would be sky high, but they really aren’t. The prices range from $7 to about $12 depending on what you get. When I go to Chipotle, I get the chicken burrito, (which is amazing I might add) and it cost about $7.50, which includes a regular drink as well. The burritos are huge so you definitely get what you pay for and then some.
If you are in need of some excellent Mexican food, Chipotle Mexican Grill is the place to be. It is inexpensive, the food is great, the employees are nice and are willing to make your food just the way you like it. The atmosphere is great as well. It is very relaxing as you enjoy your meal, not to mention the excellent prices.
The restaurant name is The Bamboo Cafe located at Café Road. Once you step into the restaurant you feel that you are welcomed at once. With great smiles and friendliness the servers will gladly attend you. The food is phenomenal, they offered the house specialty, which was the crepe and it sent my taste buds on an explosion of flavors. Not only did that satisfy but the prices on the menu are not expensive. The atmosphere is fresh and a good place to be. I look around and see that people leaving the restaurant have a big smile. Which leads me to believe that opinion of other people are good ones. This place is small, yet it feels right at home.
ReplyDeleteThere you have it! You need to relax, feel comfortable, well come to The Bamboo Café. You won’t have any regrets any sort, in the other hand you will be leaving with a satisfying smile in your face. It is great to have a restaurant like this in our town; therefore, we can all go and satisfy ourselves there. This place is normal size, not mentioning you can fit up to one hundred customers at a time. Our beverages lie on two to three dollars, however they fly up to fifty dollars per bud at times. The atmosphere there is great; you really don’t feel like you’re at a restaurant, but as if you were at home. Don’t miss out on your way by, stop don’t be a stranger!
From the great shores from the beautiful Puerto Vallarta, Mexico there was a small yet very impressive Mexican food restaurant hidden in the lower east side of the beach. Founded in the year 1985 this little restaurant has enough charm to last a life time. The ambience of the restaurant is very family orientated. It has very earthy colors and the paintings on the walls are some of Mexico’s famous paintings. The food is very delicious and savory. I ordered the house special which was the molcahetes and it was an explosion of flavors and meats. It had from chicken to steak to shrimp and veggies. To top it off the owner of the restaurant was my server. She was not only a great host but she was very friendly.
ReplyDeleteThis restaurant has become one famous in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Even thought the restaurant is small, but the quality of food that they serve in this restaurant is best. The food that is cook in this restaurant is mix with different ingredients.
The preparations were made from heart. The ingredients were fresh as they are hand picked items from the chef to prepare a dish that can only be perfected. The restaurant enjoys preparing dishes for many people. Locals enjoy the restaurant as a way to relax and enjoy the view. Tourists love the accommodation and feel as if they were closer to the restaurant. The restaurant also provides many varieties of cuisine.
A Mexican restaurant in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico is the best way to go for a home cook meal. Their flavors are endless and the ingredients are fresh everyday. If you’re a tourist that loves coming down to Mexico, then find your way at this restaurant for a meal with great food and view.
Chiles is one of the best restaurants to go to and have a good time and great food at an exceptional low price! They have one of the best services when it comes to restaurants because they pay special attention to all of their customers. All of the food there is great and you can pick from different types of foods. When you get there the people make you feel good like if they were your friends. It is a nice place because everything is in order and clean. Chili’s is located on of Rosedale Hwy. The other good thing is that the prices are not high so that this way you can take the whole family.
ReplyDeleteChiles delivers a great family atmosphere. When you walk in, you are greeted. They can situate a party of one to a party of twenty if need be. The staff is very friendly also. Waiters and waitresses are continuously walking around, making sure the customers’ needs are met.
Their menu is very broad, with many different types of food, but with a slight emphasis on more of a Mexican style flair. They became known for their baby back ribs, especially with the line from Austin Powers. They are tender and have a nice slightly tangy barbeque sauce layered on top.
They also serve refreshing alcoholic drinks, allowing for young adults and adults to have a simple and fun place to hang out at.
The atmosphere is very colorful and fun, and family welcoming. They are known for their desert called the Chocolate Lave Cake; this desert is a warm chocolate bunt cake with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream on top that is layered with a hard chocolate. Warm hot fudge is drizzled across the plate. Once you cut into the cake warm hot fudge pours out from the center of the cake onto the plate! It is so mouth watering and leaves you very satisfied.
After visiting Chiles several times I have never left dissatisfied. All of the items on their menus are great and the prices are affordable. Chilies is my top choice place to eat in Bakersfield.
Le Petite Châteaux is a new and very romantic fine dining restaurant located in downtown Bakersfield. Its owner/chef Jason Moronnolte has put a lot of time and effort into perfecting a menu that is the perfect combination of French and American cuisines. The full service bar compliments the food with an amazing martini lounge and an extensive wine list. This prestigious downtown restaurant is sure to the place for anyone looking for that special romantic evening
ReplyDeleteThis restaurant is good restaurant is romantic for two people. They have good service, I like the menu, and it’s a clean area, is in the downtown Bakersfield and you will enjoy the live music.
The service of this place is great they always receive you with a smile. The location of the restaurant is a good one for this place to be. The atmosphere is good as well and the music is great. People like to come to this restaurant because the food is delicious and they leave satisfied with it. The theme of the restaurant is very interested they have all this great decoration around it. This is a very great restaurant for a couple to go and spend some time together. The owner likes to give good service as well.
This restaurant name the Le Petite Chateaux that is located at downtown Bakersfield is well known in the area of Bakersfield. People that go there are satisfied with the food and they recommended because it has all the qualities that a good restaurant must have. So I invite you to come in visit this great restaurant located at downtown Bakersfield which name is Le Petite Chateaux you won’t regret!
Tacos La villa restaurant is great place to go and spend a good time with your family. This restaurant offered a good quality of food and different kinds; for example, Mexican food and Salvadorian food. They offer good customer service and the also have special menu and at the cheap price. They have happy hours every Wednesday. There is not other place like the La Villa Restaurant.
ReplyDeleteThe Mexican and Salvadorian food is something to die for. To top it off the food is awesome. When you bring your family there it seems like you are all family and when you leave you don’t have a hole in your wallet. Because they have really affordable prices where you and your family can get any/all they want for a good price. The happy hour on Wednesday is a day that you can’t resist, if you’re at the appropriate age where you can drink.
The food is made with only the best ingredients from fresh cut meat to freshly picked lettuce. My favorite dish would be the carne asada torta. It is very tasteful and filling, but you a very affordable price of just $4.25. The soft bread melts in your mouth while you get the full taste of the other ingredients: chili, lettuce, guacamole, onions, beans, tomatoes, and of course the fresh carne asada. The taste is to die for.
The serve is also great. When you walk into the restaurant, you are always greeted with a smile. The serve is fast and reliable. They never mess up your order.
Big Bubba restaurant is mostly known in the town of Tulare, California. The restaurant has a great environment were the family can go and have a great time. There are dancers where they give a mine show for the crowd every five to ten minutes. The decoration of the place is great. They have fake palm trees semi light lighting. There is a mine bar where they serve several types of beverages. The food is excellent; house specialty is shrimp cocktails or the tostada with jaiba.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the best places to go somewhere with you family because everyone can enjoy going. They have a lot of stuff that you can do there like dancing. If someone does not like to dance, then they could just listen to the music. It is also a great time to talk with the family and get to know what has been going on in their lives. There is also dark light, so it is peaceful and relaxing. The other thing that someone can do is go bull riding and that is a lot of fun or if you don’t want to get on you could always sees people that rode it. Everyone will enjoy going to this restaurant because it would make them feel good. It is a great place where you can go eat and also have a great time with your family or friends.
Do you like sushi? Well if you do, or even if you don’t, Toro is the place to go.
ReplyDeleteToro is located on the sunny beach of Santa Monica where you have a perfect view of the ocean and the beach. You can even be seated outside where you can feel the cool breeze from the ocean. You can enjoy fresh seafood, right next to the sea. Toro was founded in Japan. The owner is an immigrant from Japan, and only hires the best up and coming chefs. He teaches them his personal methods so that the food is always great.
Toro’s owner Kobyashi Yakuza, is an ex sumo wrestler who has an excellent taste for great food. Yakuza has brilliantly chosen one of the most renowned sushi chefs in the world today, Kamakazi Toyota to come up with some very delightful twists to an old style cuisine. With an American, French, and Italian twist to many traditional Japanese dishes, Toyota has achieved a taste that is in a class of its own. Toyota’s combinations of fresh fish, dairy, meats, and vegetables will surely become a local favorite.
One of the good things about Toro is that fact that it has great service. When you go in there the people that are working there will be very nice to you and will help you with what ever you need. They will always ask you everything nicely and will always get you what you want as fast as they can. The service is so good that you would want to come back because you will like how they are with you. They will do anything that is in their hands to make you happy and for you to have a great time. When they come to bring you your food they do it in a nice way and will always ask you if everything is okay. They will come and check up on you to see if you need anything. Also they will ask you if you enjoyed the food. When they see that you are done they will pick up the dishes that you do not need.
Toro is the place to go out to eat with friends or family. The have the best food and assume service that everyone will enjoy. If you have not been to Toro then next time you are thinking of going out to eat you should go and try it. It is a place that you can spend time with the ones that you like to be with and have some fun at the same time. The also have a really good person that is doing that food and that is going to make it even better. Most likely you are wanted to go back again because it is going to be one of the best places you have been out to eat.
On the beaches of Hawaii, located on the southeast of the island is an amazing restaurant. It carries all the components of a four star restaurant. From its spectacular view of the beaches with palm trees surrounding the patio providing shade, to the excellent quality of fresh food and customer service. It is a very clean and sanitary restaurant environment. Prices are affordable to where people can enjoy their meal and experience without worrying about the bill. Whether you choose to sit outside on the patio, where it is warm outside with a fresh beach breeze and fresh air in an incredible outdoor environment, or inside where you can view the beach air conditioned. Through a glass you can’t even tell is there it is an experience to remember.
ReplyDeleteMr.McDougalls is a restaurant delivers a wide variety of seafood and it is cooked at your table so you can see how your food is being prepared and not wondering if your food is being cooked under clean conditions. Many people love to eat in the patio which is why we provide a 30 x 40 feet deck. From the deck you get a good view of the beach and also the life around the beach which consists of the hawksbill turtle and green turtles as well. The waiting time is posted on the menu and is usually prepared before the time listed because Mr. McDougall’s recruits and trains their chefs to prepare the food quick and efficient.
The restaurant has a Persian Middle Eastern style of food. The food is all light and delicate but in no was is lacking taste. Their most popular dish is their kabobs. Most wouldn’t think that you could do much with meat and veggies on a stick but o boy does Mr.McDougalls do it up. From the most exotic of ingredients to the designs and colors that end up cooked on front of you there’s no way this is a place you will forget. If you choose to get the kabobs the set it up like an assembly like and you get to choose what you want on you kabob from the meat and veggies to the seasons and the way its cooked.
Over all Mr.McDougalls is a wonderful experience and there is much to choose from and you wont walk away disappointed or your wallet empty. So the next time you visit the big island and are craving something a little adventurous with a good view come on over to Mr.McDougalls.
Are you tired of eating in the same places all the time? You have to try Migui’s Boom!. There they have the best service you can ever imagine, I guarantee you that. This restaurant offers great uniqueness and I haven’t seen anything quite like it. They offer a variety of drinks that would put a bar to shame. This unique restaurant will feel like you never want to eat anywhere else but at Migui’s Boom. They offer beautiful, one of a kind dishes. For an example the coconuts butter shrimp which by the way was delicious. At the end of your meal, if you did not like you your food you will not pay for it, as simple as that. This is a restaurant that is located in the center of Hawaii. You will want to have breakfast, lunch, or a dinner. The house specialty is Hawaiian pizza!
ReplyDeleteThe Hawaiian pizza is made only on the season when the pineapple is being harvest. The reason for this is because the main ingredient of the pizza is the pineapple. The restaurant only uses freshest ingredient. The dough is hand made and the tomato sauce is made in the restaurant. And every thing is done in the restaurant
The customer service is one the main reasons why the Migui’s has grown into a great restaurant. Migui’s severs dress to impress with the traditional clothing that they wear to make the customers feel like it’s not only unique but it also offers authenticity. Since it is the only working site in Hawaii it offers full satisfaction with money back guaranteed. But it doesn’t stop there Migui’s owner will personally try to compensate until the customer is fully satisfied. The restaurant is neatly organized with beautiful bamboo booths and tables. The ambience is incredibly relaxing and it’s a great way to spend an afternoon with loved ones.
This restaurant is truly one of a kind. It has a unique atmosphere and offers great service but it also makes you feel like the dish you ordered was designed by top chefs. The dishes were presentable and let me tell you I have tasted the best Hawaiian pizza there is to offer and it came from the heat of Hawaii, Migui’s Boom!.
Las Vegas, Nevada, is filled with many delicious restaurants. Its lifestyle is fast, new, and simply fun. With all this excitement, it is nice to take a break from the fast lane of Vegas. One afternoon, just prior to going to our bowling tournament, we stumbled upon one of the best, if not the best, hamburger joint I have ever eaten at. The Burger Bar is simply the perfect place to relax and enjoy a nice, fresh, juicy, mouth watering

The Burgers produced by The Burger Bar are so delicious that there are not words in the English vocabulary to describe the greatness of these fine delicacies. If you ever have the chance to visit The Burger Bar, you must order the Beef Bacon Burger. Two pounds of perfectly cooked ground beef are place between two toasted buns. A slice of cheddar cheese graces the presence of three strips of crispy bacon are placed on top of the beef patty and under it. The Beef Bacon Burger is also graciously adorned with two generous sized tomatoes, multiple pickles, and a handful of lettuce. A mountain high stack of fries also adorns the burger and is beyond amazing.
When you walk into Burger Bar you will find two tiki men standing in front of you with curtain made out of rhinestones and beads you have to move apart to walk though. Once you move past that there are about 10 booths you much stand within and type in your selected order with specific details on how you would like them to make you burger. Once you are finished you step out and choose a table to sit on and write your name the same way you wrote it on your ticket so the server knows where to take there order too. Sit and enjoy your meal that you will receive in 15 minutes max.
If you don’t like burgers then all that means is that you haven’t given them a fair try because once you try Burger Bar you will kiss In and Out goo by. From the moment you walk in to the time you leave with a full stomach you will enjoy for experience to the fullest. No where else in town will you find another burger place that will serve you with Grade A beef, pork, lamb, or chicken. If you want it a certain way we’ll make it happen. Now go give Burger Bar a try I place all bet on Burger bar
Little Italy has hit Bakersfield, Urichios restaurant! Located in the heart of downtown, on the corner of K and 17th. I dinned at Urichios last week and it was phenomenon! The hostess greeted every customer as soon as they walked in. As I was seated, fresh French bread and butter was placed in front of me. My drink order was taken immediately and was brought in a timely matter. Urichios has an Italian feel without over exaggerating the theme with simple décor meant to make you feel as if you are dining in a small place in Italy. Reservations preferred yet not necessary. The feel of the environment was very warm.
ReplyDeleteThe menu itself is just divine. Many dishes meant to coexist with the calming atmosphere. A list of wines are beside each dish, to collaborate with said dish if you so choose.
Everything so fashionably organized to make you feel just as if you were in a small time Italy. With all the great options of dishes enough to satisfy any of the customers desires. The simple yet adequateness of the restaurant are something we really needed in Bakersfield. It’s just the right touch of a little Italy to our small city of great variety.
Allowing you to feel like you’re right at home, is the greatest feeling and desire to allow you to return to such a wonderful place and enjoy a truly phenomenal meal.
Regardless of the horrible experience you may have with the parking, this should not take away your desire to return to this wonderful place. With great dishes to offer served in great portions that will find to satisfy you no matter what. But still at a minimal price that’s just for the amount of food served and the great service offered

Los Angeles has contributed to a lot of restaurants, yet not all of them are better and efficient than this one. Our service here is extremely great.
ReplyDeleteOnce you eat one of our freshly cooked to perfection hot dogs you will never go anywhere else for a hot dog. They are almost the size of a dodger dog so that it fills you up and satisfies your hunger. Seasoned and grilled the smell from down the street will attract you and make your mouth water. Whether you are not hungry or are full from eating a previous meal our food will make your taste buds crave our food. Just the picture and description from our menu will at the very least have you curious to try one. You can’t go without trying our freshly baked pretzels. Jalapeno cheese filled pretzels or any other flavor will cure your cravings.
In a nutshell from the friendly servers, to the fresh food, and the great outdoor environment Hot Pink Hot Dogs is an incredible experience to remember and the food will have you come back again and yet again for more. You will never want to eat a hot dog anywhere else. Don’t forget to try the freshly served strawberry& raspberry lemonade on the rocks to quench your thirst.

The taste of the food is absolutely delightful and enjoyable. The breadsticks are warm, doughy, and very flavorful to your taste buds; the salad is made with only the finest crisp lettuce and fresh ripened tomatoes, fresh ripe olives, with a bit of the most dashing dressing you could imagine, all in one simple salad, and made with only the freshest ingredients. Their beverage selection includes: different types of sodas, wines, and other such alcoholic beverages. The atmosphere is very comforting and relaxing. The second you walk in the door you are greeted very generously and feel welcomed right away, it is like a home away from home. Locals would call this, “A taste and feel of Italy”, right at home. The atmosphere has the feel of a modern/vintage downtown Italy and has warm and cool colors throughout to make it either a romantic or family inviting feel.
The restaurant is very family friendly and also a romantic setting for two. As I sat, I watched the excellent service of the waiters handling a party of fifteen or more. They showed that they were able to handle the service of a large group of people, in a professional manner. Also, I could see them paying attention to the couple of two, celebrating their anniversary, making little touches giving the dinner night a little more of a spark!
Pricing was fairly priced, for a chain Italian Restaurant. They usually have some sort of lunch special for those who enjoy soups and salads and of course their endless breadsticks. The children seem to enjoy the food just as much as the adults. This is a place where you can bring your family and leave with money in your wallet, even after leaving a tip.
They also have a bar, centered at the entrance, which seems to be filled with many adults socializing after a hard days work, or preparing for the weekend. If you are having to wait a short while for a table to be ready, you can sit and enjoy a refreshing drink.
Olive Garden is simply one of the best Italian Restaurants I have been to. I enjoyed it very much, and so did my family. I was able to order what I wanted, was given excellent service, and didn’t leave with a huge dent in my wallet. This is certainly a restaurant for all to come and enjoy, at least once, and possibly be one of your favorites also!

Do you love Italian cuisine at affordable prices? Well, the Olive Garden located in downtown Catalina Island , is the place to be. Made with only the finest ingredients, the Olive Garden will tickle your taste buds with their, soft, doughy, warm your heart, bread; their crisp fresh green salad, and their ice cold beverages. Local folks would call this, “A taste of Italy ”. The servers are absolutely delightful, with their friendly and welcoming attitudes. You will feel right at home from the second you walk in the door. If you are looking for a ‘family atmosphere’, no need to look any further, Olive Garden is a family friendly, restaurant, for all ages.
There is a wide range of Italian cuisine to choose from, with prices starting from $9.99. The food is fantastic, made with only the best ingredients available. The Alfredo Chicken is my personal favorite dish and is very tasteful.
The restaurant has ice cold beverages, from soda all the way to wine and beer. The friendly and clean surroundings help complement the great tasting food, the vintage modern Italy setting goes great with the food. Most of the time the service is great and quickly prepared so there is no hour long wait to eat. This clean and friendly restaurant with great affordable prices is one of the top spots in downtown Catalina Island with great service and good food you can not go wrong by taking a visit to this restaurant. Attending this restaurant is the equivalent of taking a spring break trip to Italy and fine dinning at a restaurant in the heart of the city
